NAV4 LAW75

NAV4 LAW75 is a two-day, point-to-point endurance event held on Saturday 7th to Sunday 8th February 2026. The route covers 75 miles from Skipton to Appleby and follows Lady Anne’s Way with minor sections on The Dales Way and Pennine Journey. Entry fee is £150.00, entries open 29 May 2025 and close 25 January 2026. There are 100 places available and 42 participants listed so far.

Route and support

The route uses established footpaths, bridleways and trails, much of it waymarked. Major fully stocked indoor checkpoints are at:

  • Kettlewell (23 miles)
  • Askrigg (38 miles)
  • Winton / Kirkby Stephen (61 miles)

Major checkpoints offer hot and cold drinks, soup, food nibbles, toilets, seating and access to drop bags. Minor vehicle points are sited about every 6-8 miles and provide fresh water, hot drinks and safety monitoring. Each participant will carry a GPS tracker provided by Open Tracking.

Logistics and requirements

Start location is Skipton Castle; the finish is at the Market Cross in Appleby, with a finish reception venue nearby. Registration takes place at Skipton Town Hall, High Street, Skipton BD23 1AH. The event is self-supported; outside support crews are not permitted. A drop bag system is used, including a provided 20 litre drybag to the three major checkpoints and an optional finish bag. Mandatory kit includes waterproofs and overtrousers, layered thermal clothing, survival bag, headtorch with spare batteries, map, compass, whistle, mobile phone, food and water.
