Event overview
NAV4 LAW75 takes place Saturday 7 to Sunday 8 February 2026. It is the third running of the LAW75 event and covers 75 miles from Skipton to Appleby. Entries open 29 May 2025 and close 25 January 2026. Entry fee is £150. There are 100 places available and 30 participants are listed so far. The event is self-supported; support crews are not permitted. Finish durations are expected to range from about 15 to 30 hours.
Route, support and logistics
The route follows Lady Anne’s Way with minor sections on the Dales Way and Pennine Journey. The start is at Skipton Castle and the finish is at the Market Cross in Appleby. Major indoor checkpoints are at Kettlewell, Askrigg and Winton (Kirkby Stephen). Minor vehicle points are sited about every 6-8 miles to provide water, hot drinks and basic support. Each participant will carry a GPS tracker provided by Open Tracking. Drop bags are carried to three main checkpoints and a finish bag is available.

Participants must carry mandatory winter kit including waterproofs and overtrousers, thermal layers, an emergency overlayer, hat and gloves, survival bag, headtorch and spare batteries, map and compass, whistle, mobile phone, food and water. Public transport options include the Settle-to-Carlisle railway and local buses; official recce days and a dedicated minibus for a middle section are offered.
