Pengelly Double Dip & Bob Hayes Single Dip
Run Wild Missoula organizes two trail events on June 6, 2027 near the Clark Fork River. The Pengelly Double Dip is described as a tall half marathon plus, with 3,400 ft of elevation gain. The Bob Hayes Single Dip is a 10K noted for a very steep first mile that then levels out and provides views of the town.
Both on-course and virtual participation options are offered. The on-site start location is River Bowl East on the south side of the Clark Fork River, near the UM/Van Buren footbridge.
The event raised just under $2,000 for Friends of the M Trail. Funds and participant contributions support trail work such as repairing erosion and installing stairs.
Course details were provided by the organizer. Runners should expect significant uphill terrain on the Pengelly course and a steep opening section on the Bob Hayes course.
