Penfield Education Foundation 5K
The Penfield Education Foundation (PEF) 5K is a community 5K race and walk held on April 19, 2026 at the Penfield High School Track in Penfield, NY. The event is presented to raise funds for grants that support school programs not covered by the district budget and to support scholarships for Penfield Central School District students. The PEF 5K is described as the main fundraiser for those grants and scholarships.
Online registration is available in two categories: a standard entry and a student entry open to ages 18 and under. Listed fees show $27.50 for the standard registration and $22.20 for the student registration; the standard price increases after February 22, 2026. Participants who register by April 4 are eligible to receive a shirt as part of registration. Packet pick-up is scheduled for April 18, with a planned morning pickup window.
Free children’s races follow the 5K. Children 12 and under are invited to the track after the main event for a timed five-minute activity in which they run or walk as many laps as they can within five minutes.
