About the race
Pen Park Trails Fest is a trail running event held on November 7, 2026 at Peninsula State Park, Shore Road, Fish Creek, WI. The event offers two distances:
- 30K
- 14K
Both courses start and finish at Welcker's Point Shelter. Runners receive a race hoodie, a completion medal, course support and nutrition, and a post race beer from Sway Brewing and Blending or a nonalcoholic beverage. The 30K follows a scenic gravel segment before moving onto the park's single-track and multi-use trails, with multiple climbs and descents along the Niagara escarpment and sections over Sven's and Eagle bluffs. The 14K shares the opening gravel section, then separates around mile five and includes several climbs and longer descents relative to the park's topography. Both races finish at Welcker's Point Shelter where food and beverages will be available.
Both distances have a six hour time limit, and the 30K has a strictly enforced cutoff at the Eagle Panorama Aid Station (mile 14.2). Packet pick-up is scheduled on November 6 at Fish Creek Town Hall and on race day at Welcker's Point. The event will contribute proceeds to Friends of Peninsula State Park for trail development and maintenance. The event does not offer refunds; participants may transfer or sell entries through the registration system and may switch races space permitting.
