Pen Park Trails Fest
Pen Park Trails Fest is a trail running event at Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek, Wisconsin on November 7, 2026. Two distances are offered:
- 30K
- 14K
Both races start and finish at Welcker's Point Shelter and include on-course support and nutrition. Runners receive a race hoodie, a completion medal, and a post race beer from Sway Brewing and Blending or a nonalcoholic beverage. The event includes food and beverages at the finish.
The 30K begins on a roughly two mile gravel section, then continues on the park's single track and multi use trail system. The course includes multiple climbs and descents of the Niagara escarpment and passages over Sven's and Eagle bluff. The 14K follows the same initial gravel section, separates from the 30K around mile 5, and includes several climbs including Sven's bluff and multiple longer descents relative to the park's topography.
Both distances have a six hour time limit. The 30K has a strictly enforced cutoff at the Eagle Panorama Aid Station at mile 14.2. Packet pickup is scheduled at Fish Creek Town Hall the day before the race and at Welcker's Point on race day.
The event will contribute proceeds to the Friends of Peninsula State Park to support trail development and maintenance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
