Coast2Coast Winter Ultra 2026

The Coast2Coast Winter Ultra takes place on Saturday 7th November 2026. The route is a roughly 60 km loop on the Llŷn Peninsula, starting and finishing at Tafarn y Fic in Llithfaen. Relay teams are accepted and the event uses a 12 hour cut off.

The course heads to the BT Tower near Yr Eifl and includes the section called Steps Of Hell, then descends through Nant Gwrtheyrn. Runners follow the coast to Morfa Nefyn, cross Pen Llyn to Abersoch via the Mariner's Trail, run a beach stretch to Llanbedrog Headland, pass through Pwllheli, and return to Llithfaen on gradually ascending lanes.

Route statistics list total ascent 1537 m and descent 1540 m, with the lowest point at 0 m and the highest at 390 m. Included services comprise four fully stocked vegan friendly aid stations, two water stations, a marked course, on course event and aid station teams, live timing and a race tracker, a collector's edition T shirt for some entries, and a finishers medal. Published entry fees list a standard single entry at £79 and a team entry at £79 plus £20 per extra person.

Mandatory kit must be carried and will be checked. Required items include a bag, whistle, survival bag not a foil blanket, bottles to carry at least 1.5 litres, waterproof jacket and trousers, head torch with spare batteries, foldable cup, watch, phone and charger, and snacks. Race rules prohibit crewed kit changes, stashing kit on course, pacers and support runners or walkers; random kit checks happen at registration and on route.
