Peconic Landing John May Mile & 5K
The event is a run and walk hosted at Peconic Landing, located at 1500 Brecknock Road, Greenport, NY 11944. It offers both a timed 5K and an untimed "John May Mile" fitness walk across the Peconic Landing campus.

Amenities include T-shirts for the first 100 in-person 5K participants on race day, with sizes distributed on a first come, first served basis. Onsite activities include a brunch, raffles, a 50/50 drawing, and other community offerings.
Awards are presented for the top male and female overall and the top three male and female in age groups: 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus.
The race benefits the Greenport Fire Department. Participants pick up race bibs from event staff on race morning; registering at least three weeks in advance allows a personalized race number. A self-lookup area is available for bib numbers, and registrants who register within 24 hours of pickup may receive their bib number by text or via the event's bib lookup.
Strollers, baby joggers, rollerblades, skates, and pets are not permitted on the course. Live online, email, and text results are provided, along with same-day finish line photos and free video. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
