Peconic Landing John May Mile & 5K Run/Walk
Peconic Landing John May Mile & 5K Run/Walk is held on the Peconic Landing campus in Greenport, NY. The event offers a timed 5K race and an untimed "John May Mile" fitness walk that follows a route across the campus. Strollers, baby joggers, rollerblades, skates, and pets are not permitted on the course.
Amenities listed for the event include T-shirts for the first 100 in-person 5K participants with sizes assigned on a first come, first served basis, on-site brunch, raffles, and a 50/50 drawing. Results are provided live via online, email, and text, with free video and same-day finish line photos available.
Awards are presented for top overall men and women, and top three men and women in age groups: 9 and under; 10-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80 and over. The race benefits the Greenport Fire Department.
Bib pickup is handled by event staff; registrants who enter early may receive a personalized race number. A self-lookup area is provided for participants who do not know their bib number, and recent registrants may receive their bib number by text or via a lookup tool.
