Peak Raid Race 4 Alstonefield South
Peak Raid Race 4 Alstonefield South takes place on Sunday 6th December 2026 in Alstonefield, within the Peak District. It is the fourth event in a series of four three hour score-format fell races. The series uses a range of terrain from high moorland that needs accurate navigation to more runnable limestone dales with a good network of footpaths.
The event is scored. Competitors receive a waterproof map with control descriptions and point values, then have three hours to visit as many controls as possible. Points are lost for late returns. Entrants may compete solo or in pairs, and pairs may enter any category. Age category is based on age on 31/12/2026. Minimum entry age is 14; where one competitor is under 18 the other must be a parent or guardian or an accompanying adult over 21.
All competitors must carry the FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit: waterproof whole body cover (jacket and trousers with taped seams and an attached hood), hat, gloves, map (provided), compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag. Kit will be checked on the day. Dogs are not permitted due to landowner conditions and wildlife and livestock considerations.
