Peak Raid Race 4 Alstonefield South
Peak Raid Race 4 Alstonefield South takes place on Sunday 6 December 2026 in Alstonefield in the Peak District. The event is a fell running score race that requires route choice and navigation across hills, moors and dales. A waterproof map with control descriptions and points values is provided at the start.
This race is one of a series of four three hour races using SiTiming. Competitors have three hours to visit controls and collect as many points as possible; points are lost for late returns. The format allows competitors to select their own route and to compete solo or as a pair. Starts are allocated in pre selected five minute slots and on the day registration takes place.
There are 15 categories in total, including men and women age groups, mixed pairs categories and a parent or guardian and under 18 category. The minimum age for entry is 14 and for pairs the age category is determined by the older competitor. To be eligible for series prizes entrants must complete at least two races; prizes are awarded to first, second and third places with adjustments when categories are small.
All competitors must carry the FRA mandatory minimum kit: waterproof jacket and trousers with taped seams and an attached hood, hat, gloves, a map (provided), compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag. Kit will be checked. Dogs are not permitted because of landowner conditions, FRA recommendations and concerns for wildlife, livestock and other competitors.
