Peak Raid Race 4 Alstonefield South
Peak Raid Race 4 Alstonefield South is a fell running score event in Alstonefield, on 6 December 2026. It takes place in Peak District hills, moors and dales and requires route choice and basic navigation skills. Competitors receive a waterproof map and a control description with point values and have three hour time limits to visit as many controls as possible. Points are lost for lateness.
The event is the fourth race in a series of four Peak Raid races. The series uses varied terrain from high moorland needing accurate navigation to more runnable limestone dales with many footpaths. Results use SiTiming and the best three results count towards the overall league.
Entrants may compete solo or as a pair. Pairs can enter any category and the age category for pairs is set by the oldest competitor. There are 15 categories in total, including solo, veterans by age group, mixed pairs, and a Parent or Guardian and Under 18 category. Minimum age for participation is 14 and juniors in the Parent or Guardian category must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or an adult appointed by them.
All competitors must carry the FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit: waterproof whole body cover (jacket and trousers with taped seams and attached hood), hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag.
