Peach Week Fun Run
Peach Week Fun Run is a charity 5k held at FirstHealth Fitness Center in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The event benefits the FirstHealth Cancer CARE Fund, which was established in 2000 and has dispersed more than $2.8 million to cover needs of cancer patients. One hundred percent of the race proceeds go directly to helping community members navigate cancer needs.
The course is a 5k trail circling the Pinehurst community with modest inclines among longleaf pines. The surface includes both gravel and pavement. Strollers are welcome and only service animals are permitted on the course.
Entry fees are listed as $25 for adults and $5 for children 13 and under. Packet pickup is scheduled the evening before the race at FirstHealth Fitness Center in Pinehurst. Participants receive popsicles, healthy snacks, a water bottle, a sticker and additional giveaways courtesy of the CVB and partners.
Awards include medals for first place in male and female divisions for ages over 14, ages 9 to 13, and ages 8 and under. Additional recognition is given for best dressed in peach style for male and female. The race is organized by FirstHealth Fitness Pinehurst in conjunction with the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area CVB. There are no refunds and no rain date.
