Peach Week Fun Run
The Peach Week Fun Run is a community 5k held in Pinehurst on July 25, 2026. The event benefits the FirstHealth Cancer CARE Fund, and the organizer states that 100% of race proceeds will go directly to support local cancer patient needs. Since the fund began in 2000, more than 2.8 million dollars has been dispersed to help patients.
The course is a walk/run trail of approximately 5k that circles parts of the Pinehurst community among longleaf pines. The surface includes gravel and pavement and has modest inclines. Strollers are welcome and only service animals should be present on the course.
Entry fees are listed as $25 for adults and $5 for children 13 and under. Participants receive items provided by the CVB and partners, such as popsicles, healthy snacks, a water bottle, a sticker, and other giveaways. Medals are awarded to first place in male and female categories for over 14, ages 9 to 13, and 8 and under, and there are prizes for best dressed in peach style for male and female.
Early packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, July 24 at the FirstHealth Fitness Center in Pinehurst. The race is presented by FirstHealth Fitness, Pinehurst location, in conjunction with the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area CVB. There are no refunds and no rain date.
