Peace of Mind 5K - Tempe, AZ
The Peace of Mind 5K is a community event held at Kiwanis Park in Tempe, Arizona. Organized by StartLine Sports LLC, the event focuses on raising awareness for mental health and generating funds for a scholarship program. This program supports individuals who require financial assistance to access mental health services and professional care.
The event offers the following participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk: A chip-timed course at Kiwanis Park open to runners, walkers, and skippers.
- Virtual Run: A remote option for residents within the United States who cannot attend in person.
Participants in the 5K receive a custom finisher's medal and a dri-fit tech t-shirt. On-site amenities include a pre- and post-race "Runner's Brunch" featuring fruit, granola bars, water, and Gatorade. Results are provided in real time via a mobile app and website, with professional photography included.
The course is accessible for wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons. Leashed pets are also permitted to join the event. For competitive participants, age group awards are presented to the top three finishers in multiple categories, ranging from ages 8 and under to 75 and over.
