PDX 50-50 - September 12, 2026

PDX 50-50 is an organized running event in Portland, OR, presented by Run Pacifica. The event offers two distance options:

  • 50K (course has measured 31.5 to 32 miles in prior years)
  • 50M (advertised as a 50 mile option but is actually about 53 miles)

The start and finish are at Brooklyn Park in SE Portland. The shared early portion of the routes follows the Eastbank Esplanade, crosses the Steel Bridge, traverses North Portland and Willamette Boulevard, passes the University of Portland, and uses the St Johns Bridge to enter Forest Park. A roughly one mile section on Ridge Trail in Forest Park is notably steeper, narrower, and more technical than the rest of the course and can be slick when wet. Much of the remainder of the courses uses paved pedestrian paths, quiet streets, wide dirt and gravel roads such as Leif Eriksen, and neighborhood connectors.

At about mile 29 at the Sellwood Bridge runners choose the 50K return route to Brooklyn Park or the longer loop toward River View Cemetery, Tryon Creek Park, Lake Oswego, Mary S Young Park, Oregon City, and the Trolley Trail before returning via Sellwood.

This is an unsupported event with no aid stations and no course markings. GPX files are provided for each distance. The Forest Park stretch, approximately mile 11 to mile 21, is the longest segment without opportunities to buy or refill supplies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
