The PB&J is a trail competition held in Prince William Forest Park on Saturday, Oct 24, 2026. The course is a runnable, rolling lollipop loop through shaded, undulating trails with creek crossings and swinging bridges. The route mixes smooth and technical sections and is described as well marked.
The start and finish area is at the Telegraph Road Pavilion, located just past the park visitor center near the park entrance off Joplin Road. Total ascent for the full course is about 2,500 feet. GPX files, a park map, and a turn sheet are provided for both distances.
There are two on-course aid stations at Mawavi Road and the Turkey Run Education Center, plus an additional aid station at the start/finish. Aid station locations are reported at roughly 7.3, 12.8, 16.0, 23.3, and 28.8 miles along the full route. Runners may bring a labeled bag of personal food for each aid station. Restrooms are available at the start/finish and at the second aid station.
Entry opens in mid-September and the field is limited to 110 runners. There is no formal entry fee; participants are asked to bring one donated food or drink item for the common aid. Park entrance requires the standard day fee or a valid National Park pass.
