13th Annual Paws for the Cause 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk
The 13th Annual Paws for the Cause is a community running event organized by the Medina County SPCA on October 24, 2026, at Medina City Square in Medina, Ohio. Proceeds directly benefit abused, neglected, and injured animals under the care of the Medina County SPCA.

- 5k run
- 1 mile fun walk
Registration is tiered by date. Early registration through August 31 is $30 for each distance. Standard registration through September 30 is $35. Late registration through October 17 is $40. Race day registration on site is $45. Each registration includes an official event shirt, electronic chip timing, post race refreshments, and a chance at race awards.
Packet pickup is available at the race site starting at 7:30 am on the day of the event. Commemorative awards for the 5k will be given in age categories including 19 and under; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; and 70 and over. Course maps and recorded route data are available online via Strava. Volunteer opportunities and event support are provided by local sponsors.
