13th Annual Paws for the Cause 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk
The 13th annual Paws for the Cause is a fundraising run and walk in Medina, Ohio on October 24, 2026. Proceeds benefit animals cared for by the Medina County SPCA.
Event distances include:
- 5k race
- 1 Mile fun walk
Registration pricing is tiered by date: early, standard, late, and race-day rates. Early registration through August 31 is $30 for each distance; standard registration through September 30 is $35; late registration through October 17 is $40; and on-site race-day registration is $45 for each distance. Registrations include an official event shirt and post-race refreshments. The 5k entry specifically includes electronic chip timing and a chance at commemorative race awards.
Packet pickup is available at the race site on race day. Commemorative awards for the 5k will be given in multiple age categories, including 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 plus. Route data for both distances is provided via Strava.
