The 33rd Annual Pawleys Island Turtle Strut 5K/8K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, November 14, 2026 in Pawleys Island, SC. The event is presented by Pawleys Island Realty and includes an in-person race with a virtual participation option. The race uses the Town Hall of Pawleys Island area and the common start/finish location is at the Pawleys Island Nature Park.

Course, logistics and awards
Participants start at the Pawleys Island Nature Park and run south on Myrtle Avenue along Pawleys Island Creek. 5K runners turn around in the Bird’s Nest area of the island. 8K runners continue down Springs Avenue to the far south end beach access and return to the Nature Park for the finish. The course is described as extremely flat. Pawleys Island is a barrier island less than four miles long and mostly one house wide, separated from the mainland by a salt marsh and accessible by two short causeways.
Packet pickup is available at the Old Town Hall building the day before and on race day. Porta-potties are located near the start line. There is no water stop on the 5K course; one water stop is provided at the 8K turnaround. Race swag includes a participant shirt (while supplies last), a race bib, and a participant medal. Awards include overall male and female 1st–3rd, overall masters male and female 1st place, and single-place age-group awards in ten-year increments.
