The 32nd Annual Pawleys Island Turtle Strut is a 5K/8K run/walk taking place on Saturday, November 15, 2025 in Pawleys Island, SC. The event includes an in-person 5K and 8K and a virtual option. The race is presented by Pawleys Island Realty and is held in memory of a former Pawleys Island police chief who passed away in 2015.

Course, logistics and awards
The common start and finish are at the Pawleys Island Nature Park. Participants head south on Myrtle Avenue along Pawleys Island Creek. 5K participants turn around in the Bird’s Nest area of the island. 8K participants continue down Springs Avenue to the far south end beach access and then return to the Nature Park. The course is described as flat.
Race location and parking are centered at Pawleys Island Town Hall, 323 Myrtle Avenue, Pawleys Island, SC. Packet pickup is scheduled at the Old Town Hall building (321 Myrtle Ave) on Friday, November 14 and the morning of the event. Portos are located near the start line. There is no water stop on the 5K; a water stop is at the 8K turnaround. Swag includes a participant shirt (while supplies last), race bib, and a Made in the USA finisher medal. Awards are given for overall, masters, and ten-year age groups. Virtual participants receive race swag within two weeks, with shipping included.
