Event Details

The 33rd Annual Pawleys Island Turtle Strut is a 5K/8K run/walk held in memory of former Pawleys Island Police Chief Guy Osborne. It takes place on Saturday, November 14, 2026, in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.

Courses and Location

The event starts at Pawleys Island Nature Park. All participants head south on Myrtle Avenue along Pawleys Island Creek. The 5K turnaround is in the Bird's Nest area. The 8K continues down Springs Avenue for an ocean view, turning around at the far south end beach access before returning to the finish at the Nature Park. The course is described as extremely flat.

Pawleys Island is a barrier island less than four miles long, separated from the mainland by a salt marsh. It is located 70 miles north of Charleston and 25 miles south of Myrtle Beach.

Packet pickup is available on Friday, November 13, and on the morning of the race at the Old Town Hall building (321 Myrtle Ave). Included race items are a participant shirt (while supplies last), a race bib, and a finisher medal.
