Pawleys Island Turtle Strut 5K/8K Run/Walk
The event is the 33rd annual Turtle Strut 5K/8K Run/Walk presented in memory of Chief Guy Osborne and scheduled for November 14, 2026 in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Participants begin at Pawleys Island Nature Park and follow a course along Myrtle Avenue beside Pawleys Island Creek. The 5K route turns around in the Bird’s Nest area of the island. The 8K course continues down Springs Avenue to a far south beach access for a turnaround and returns to the Nature Park toward the finish. The course is described as extremely flat and follows island streets and beach access points.

- Virtual option; runners choose distance and receive shirt and medal by mail
Race logistics listed include packet pickup at the Old Town Hall building (321 Myrtle Avenue) on the day before and the morning of the event, designated parking areas near Town Hall, and portable restrooms near the start. The 8K has one water stop at its turnaround; the 5K course has no water stop. Race swag includes a participant shirt (while supplies last), bib, and a finisher medal.
