Pavement Pounders 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
Pavement Pounders features a 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk in Jamestown, Tennessee, with the start at York Institute (701 N Main St.). The course heads south to York Elementary School and returns along the same route. The course is described as very flat.

Registration opens on February 24, 2026. The registration fee is $20 through April 30 and increases to $30 on May 1. All participants registered by May 3 will receive a race shirt; no shirts will be given to those who register after May 3. Bib pickup will take place on race morning before the event.
Event logistics note that there is plenty of parking at the start, bathrooms are located inside the school, and a water stop will be available at the turnaround. Proceeds will benefit the YAI Hope Club and the York High School Bowling team.
Awards include First Place Overall male and female, and age-group awards for Under 12, 13-14, 15-17, 18-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, and 71 plus, with the top three male and female in each group. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
