Barn Creek Backyard Ultra : Jamestown, TN (November 6, 2026)
Barn Creek Backyard Ultra is a Last Man Standing backyard ultra held in Jamestown, Tennessee. The event uses a repeated loop format on private property adjacent to Colditz Cove State Natural Area.
The course is a 4.167 mile out-and-back that starts at r3 motoworx and crosses Barn Creek via a bridge. Terrain includes a mix of gravel, road, and trail with less than 300 feet of elevation gain per loop.
The race follows official backyard ultra rules. Each loop must be completed within one hour to count, including the final loop. Competitors may not leave the course except to use restrooms, no personal aid is allowed during a loop, and no non-competitors may be on the course. Artificial aids, including trekking poles, are not permitted. Slower runners must allow passes. The winner is the last person to complete a loop and all other finishers are listed by distance covered; if no runner completes one more loop than anyone else, there is no winner.
All runners may set up a tent along the start/finish corral; crew vehicles are not allowed in the crew tent area after setup. The main aid station is next to the start corral and will provide warm food, water, drinks, and port-a-potties. The race is cup-less and each runner receives a reusable speed cup at packet pickup. Runners who complete 100 miles receive a belt buckle.
RV and camping facilities are available. Most of the course takes place on private land with local land use support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
