Patriots Triathlon, Williamsburg VA
The Patriots Triathlon is scheduled for September 12 to September 13, 2026 in Williamsburg, Virginia, at 2205 Jamestown Rd. The event offers both Olympic and Sprint race formats and takes place near historic Williamsburg and the Jamestown Settlement. The open water swim is held at Jamestown Beach, where wildlife such as osprey and dolphins are sometimes visible along the course.
The bike course is described as flat and fast and runs parallel to the Cap-Cap bike trail along Rt. 5. The run route uses a combination of bike paths and jogging trails and passes through historic farmland and forest. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and is open to athletes aged 12 and older. Swim starts use a time trial format with two athletes started every few seconds, and an Elite Box Start is offered for athletes positioned at the front of the field.
Registration for each event includes a finisher medal, a long sleeved tech shirt, custom race socks, a reusable packet pickup bag, timed race results, age group awards, a post race meal, a finisher certificate, and free finish line photos.
