Patriots Run 5K

The Patriots Run 5K and 1 mile Fun Run take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Red Tail Pavilion in Oak Point Park, Plano, home of the Plano Flags of Honor. The event program opens with a Presentation of Colors and the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a warm-up and the two runs. Wheeled participants are given a short head start.

After the races there is a community celebration that includes awards, sponsor booths, food, music, and vendor prize giveaways immediately following the ceremony. Participants may run, walk, ride, or cheer as part of the event, which is described as honoring those who served and celebrating the freedoms they defended.

Proceeds from the event fund veteran assistance programs, student scholarships, and outreach efforts that support the VFW mission of service to veterans, their families, and the nation.
