Event overview
The Patriot’s Run includes a 5K and a 1-mile Fun Run on Saturday, November 7, 2026. The event is held at the Red Tail Pavilion in Oak Point Park in Plano, Texas. The morning begins with a Presentation of Colors by Allen High School MCJROTC and the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a warm-up, the 1-mile Fun Run, and the 5K. Wheeled participants will have a five minute head start. After the races there is a community celebration with awards, sponsor booths, food, music, and vendor prize giveaways.
Purpose and proceeds
Proceeds from the event help fund veteran assistance programs, student scholarships, and outreach efforts that uphold the VFW’s mission of service to veterans, their families, and the nation.
