Patriot Run - Billings
The Patriot Run is a community athletic event held in Billings, Montana, organized by Billings Parks and Recreation. The event takes place within Mountview Cemetery, featuring courses that navigate the cemetery grounds. The proceeds from the event are designated to support veteran funeral services and the maintenance of the Veterans sections within the cemetery.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km Run or Walk
- 2 km Run or Walk (Available for youth age 12 and under, and adults age 13 and over)
Both the 2 km and 5 km events are timed races. The course for both distances starts and finishes at the Section 14 Veterans graves. Participants receive finisher swag upon crossing the finish line, and all entrants are included in drawings for door prizes. The first 150 individuals to register for the event are guaranteed to receive a race shirt.
Access to the event is provided through a specific entrance at the back gate on Industrial Avenue. Dedicated parking for participants is located within Section 15 of the cemetery. Other entrances to the cemetery grounds are blocked off during the event period. Packet pickup is conducted near the start and finish line area on the day of the race.
