Patchogue Family YMCA 5K Run/Walk
The Patchogue Family YMCA 5K Run/Walk is a community sports event held in Patchogue, New York. The race takes place at Shorefront Park and features a 5 km course that is USATF certified. This event is sanctioned by USATF-Long Island and serves as an individual scoring race for the USATF-LI Grand Prix.
Participants can choose between two main formats:
- 5 km Run/Walk (In-person)
- 5 km Virtual Run/Walk
The in-person event includes several amenities for participants, such as post-race refreshments, prizes, and giveaway items from various sponsors. T-shirts are provided to participants on a first-come, first-served basis, with a guarantee for those who register at least two weeks before the event. Those who register three weeks in advance receive a personalized bib with their name.
The event recognizes performance with awards for the top male and female finishers overall. Additionally, medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in various age categories, ranging from 15 and under to 80 and over.
The virtual option allows participants to record their times and upload photos between April 19 and April 26. Virtual entrants receive their race bibs via mail.
