Parowan City Half Marathon - Yankee Meadow Run
The event features a half marathon, a 5K and a children's Yankee Doodle Dash. The course for the half marathon begins on the south side of Yankee Meadow Reservoir in the Yankee Meadow Reservoir Recreation Area and uses nearby roads and trails. The 5K and the Yankee Doodle Dash start at the Iron County Fair Building in Parowan, Utah.
Packet pickup takes place at the Iron County Fair Building on the day before the event and on the morning of the event. Bus transportation is provided from the fair building to the race start area. Electronic chip timing is used for official results, and photos are provided after the race.
Participants receive shirts and goody bags, and all finishers are awarded medals. An awards ceremony follows the competition, accompanied by food and music. A pace team is available for the half marathon distance. After crossing the finish line there is a finish line gathering for participants and their guests.
