Cedar City Half Marathon & Adventure 5K
The event takes place Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, and includes the following distances:

- Adventure 5K
All runners are transported by bus from the Heritage Center Theater Lobby, 105 N 100 E, Cedar City, UT 84720. Bus loading windows are provided on race morning; buses take participants up Cedar Canyon to the start area near Wood Ranch. Packet pickup is available Friday, Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and limited packet pickup is available on race morning at the Heritage Center Theater lobby.
The half marathon runs down Cedar Canyon onto the Coal Creek Trail System and finishes at the Bicentennial Park Soccer Fields, 700 N 400 W, Cedar City, UT 84721. The last three miles are on the Cedar City trail network and the trail includes three road underpasses to avoid street traffic. Cedar Canyon is closed to vehicles on race day and the canyon reopens to traffic at 10:00 a.m.
Aid stations are placed approximately every two miles and provide electrolyte drinks, water, and gels; ham operators staff each station and an ambulance is stationed at the finish. Aid station locations include 2.5, 4.1, 6.1, 6.8 (medical turnoff), 8.1, 10.3, and 12.1 miles.
Registration must be completed online and runners must wear a bib to board buses and to run. Refunds are not offered; transfers or deferments are allowed until Sept. 2, 2026 with associated fees for medical reasons. Results will be posted online after the race.
