Cedar City Half Marathon & Adventure 5K : Race information
The Cedar City Half Marathon and Adventure 5K take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The event offers two distances:
- Half Marathon
- Adventure 5K
Packet pickup and early morning bus loading are at the Heritage Center Theater Lobby, 105 N 100 E, Cedar City UT 84720. Packet pickup is recommended on Friday, September 11 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Runners who do not pick up packets on Friday may use a check in desk the morning of the race inside the same lobby. All runners are transported by bus to the start area; buses board from the Heritage Center Theater and a shuttle will run from the finish area back to parked vehicles.
The half marathon follows Cedar Canyon and SR 14 before transitioning onto the Coal Creek trail system through Canyon Park and past Veterans Ball Fields to the finish at the Bicentennial Park Soccer Fields, 700 N 400 W, Cedar City UT 84721. The course includes closed canyon sections and trail segments; aid stations are placed at about every two miles and provide water, electrolyte drinks, and gels. Aid station locations along the canyon include approximately 2.5, 4.1, 6.1, 6.8 for a medical turnoff, 8.1, 10.3, and 12.1 miles.
Teams may enter with a minimum of four and up to twenty people; team awards are not offered. Refunds are not available but transfers or deferments are allowed up to ten days before the event with fees and conditions. Drop bags are transported from the start area to the finish and should be clearly labeled; valuables are not recommended for drop bags.
