Cedar City Moonwalk 5K
The Cedar City Moonwalk is a nighttime 5K run or walk on the Cedar City East Bench Trail System. The course starts at 1120 West Greens Lake Drive (LDS Church parking lot pavilion) and finishes at West Canyon Park (Ann J. Gardner Park) along the creek.
Shuttle services are included with registration to return participants from the finish to the starting line parking. Parking is available at the starting line; parking is not provided at the finish.
Participants receive a timed bib, a glow in the dark race shirt, and goodies at the finish. Every participant who crosses the finish line receives a medal. One aid station is located approximately halfway on the course and will offer water or electrolyte drinks, porta johns, garbage receptacles, and basic blister and band aid kits.
Registration is online only; bibs are assigned and there is no in person registration on race day. Refunds are not offered. Transfers or deferments for medical reasons are allowed until 10 days before the event on a limited case by case basis with associated fees. Every runner must register online and wear a bib; unsanctioned or bandit runners are not permitted.
Results are available shortly after crossing the finish and are posted online and texted to finishers through the event timing system. Awards for 5K participants are given across age brackets from 14 and under up to 70 plus.
Bib and shirt pickup is recommended the evening before at the City Hall Council Chamber (10 N. Main Street) from 5pm to 9pm; same day pickup is available at the start line but may be busy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
