Cedar City Moonwalk 5K
The Cedar City Moonwalk 5K is a nighttime 5 kilometer run or walk taking place on August 1, 2026, on the East Bench Trail System beneath the Buck Full Moon. The course begins at 1120 West Greens Lake Drive at the LDS Church parking lot pavilion and finishes at West Canyon Park / Ann J. Gardner Park along the creek.
The event includes live music, photo opportunities, moon pies and a foam party at the finish line. Shuttle service is included with registration to return participants from the finish area to the starting line parking. Parking is available at the starting line; parking is not provided at the finish.
One aid station is located approximately halfway on the course and will offer water or electrolyte drinks. Portable toilets, waste receptacles and basic first aid supplies such as blister and bandage kits will be available at the aid station.
Every registered participant receives a timed bib and a glow in the dark race shirt, and every finisher is awarded a medal. Results will be posted online and may be texted to finishers via the event timing system. Online registration closes July 31, 2026. Transfers or deferments for medical reasons are permitted on a limited case by case basis until July 22, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
