Cedar City Moonwalk 5K - Race overview
The Cedar City Moonwalk 5K is a nighttime 5K walk or run on the Cedar City East Bench Trail System. The course begins at 1120 West Greens Lake Drive at the LDS Church parking lot pavilion and finishes at West Canyon Park (Ann J. Gardner Park) along the creek. The event features a foam party finish, live music, photo opportunities, and post race treats including Moon Pies and fruit.
Logistics include on-course support and transport. One aid station is located approximately halfway on the course and supplies water or electrolyte drinks, porta johns, garbage cans, and basic blister and band‑aid kits. Parking is available at the starting line; parking is not provided at the finish line. Shuttle service is included with registration to transport participants from the finish back to the starting line parking area.
Entry and race equipment rules are stated: every participant must register online and wear an assigned bib; bandit runners are not allowed. Refunds are not offered; transfers or deferments for medical reasons are permitted until 10 days before the event on a case‑by‑case basis with associated fees. Timing and results are provided electronically, with finish times posted online and sent via the event timing system Brooksee. Every runner receives a timed bib, a glow in the dark race shirt, finish line goodies, and a medal upon crossing the finish line.
