Parc Bryn Bach Aquathlon Race 4
The event takes place at Parc Bryn Bach, Bryn Bach Country Park Visitors Centre, Tredegar NP22 3AY on 27 August 2026. It is a midweek aquathlon providing open water swim and running practice for athletes aged over 15. A permit has been issued for the event.
Racing comprises a lake swim followed by a two lap run around the lake. Distances:
- 750m open water lake swim
- 5km flat tarmac run, two laps
Wetsuits are mandatory. A swim cut off of 25 minutes from race start will be enforced at the organisers discretion. Entrants must have started their second run lap within 45 minutes from race start. Relay team entries will not be accepted for this year. A swim only option is available but requires entry as a full place and informing registration on the night.
The swim stage has an entry and exit ramp. Transition is approximately 10m on tarmac and includes a ramp. The run course is on flat tarmac and uses closed roads and traffic free areas. Event features include accessible parking, general parking, toilets and results published on the event website. Expected competitor number is 120.
