Panther Spirit Race

Panther Spirit Race is hosted by the Alma College Cheer Program and serves as that program's primary fundraiser. The event takes place in Dewitt, Michigan, with start and finish at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 801 N Bridge St, Dewitt, MI 48820.

The program includes a 5K Run/Walk, a Kids' Mile, and a Little Kids' 100m Dash. Available distances:

Registration opens on March 1, 2026. Registration deadlines differ by event: the 5K registration closes August 2, 2026; the Kids' Mile and the 100m dash registration close August 14, 2026. Entry fees for the 5K are $25 through August 2, $30 from August 3 to August 9, and $35 from August 10 to August 14. Kids' events have a $5 fee. Family or group registration for the 5K for two to four people is available for $80 through August 2.

Race entry fee includes a finisher medal. Early packet pick-up is scheduled on the evening of August 14 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Race day packet pick-up will be available at St. Jude's starting at 7:00 AM. The event will use chip timing provided by the Michigan Running Foundation and results will be available live during the race and posted afterward.
