Panther Prowl Pitman
The 16th annual Panther Prowl, organized by the Pitman Education Foundation, includes a community 5K run, a 1 Mile Walk, and a virtual option. The 5K begins at Pitman Jr/Sr High School, proceeds to Kindle Elementary School and returns to finish with a lap around the high school track. The 5K course crosses Pitman Ave and Holly Ave; police and volunteers will staff busier intersections and additional volunteers will stop traffic at other crossings. A water stop is located near Kindle Elementary. The 5K course is supported for 40 minutes; participants who plan to walk are asked to use the 1 Mile Walk.

- Virtual event that can be completed anywhere, any distance
Parking is available on streets where permitted and in the school parking lots. A drive-through packet pick-up will be held in the school parking lot on 10/16 from 5 to 6 PM. A Kids Fun Run takes place immediately after the 5K; children run one lap around the track and receive a small prize. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and top three male and female finishers by age groups (including 10 & under; 11-14; 15-19; then 10-year age groups). Timing is provided by TNT Event Management.
Registration opens 8/15/2026 and closes 10/15/2026; fees listed are $25.00 for the 5K, $15.00 for the 1 Mile Walk, and $15.00 for the virtual event. T-shirts are guaranteed only for registrations received by 9/26/2025. All proceeds fund grants for Pitman School District teachers, such as subscriptions, books, musical instruments, art supplies, and special events.
