Panther Prowl 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Panther Prowl 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is held on the campus of Northside High School at 7868 Free Union Church Road in Pinetown, NC. The event uses a scenic, well-marked trail course that is mostly flat with a few gentle rolling hills.

All proceeds benefit the Northside High School Track and Cross Country programs, with funds used for equipment, travel, and training. The 1 Mile Fun Run is described as non-competitive and family focused; medals are still awarded to the top three men and top three women overall. The 5K awards medals to the top three men and top three women overall and to the top three men and women in each age division: 10 & under, 11-15, 16-20, 21-30, 31-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
Registration opened on August 11, 2026. Early bird pricing applies through March 18: 5K $30, 1 Mile $25. A higher fee period runs March 19 through May 22: 5K $40, 1 Mile $35.
