Panther Claw 1776
Panther Claw 1776 is a trail running event on July 4, 2026 in Morristown, TN at Panther Creek State Park. The event offers multiple race options and centers on a multi-loop trail course that begins and ends at the park lower field.

The full course is made up of three named loops: Red Loop, White Loop, and Blue Loop. Each loop begins and ends at a central hub/aid station. Completing all three loops equals the full 17.76 mile distance. Runners may run the loops in any order.
Trails are approximately 90% singletrack with a mix of smooth mountain bike trail, rocky sections, forested stretches, overlook views of Cherokee Lake, flat sections, rolling hills, and several steep climbs.
Relay teams consist of three members with each team member running a single loop; each loop is described as roughly six miles. There is one aid station located at the start and end of each loop. Participants are asked to bring a cup; available aid items include water, electrolyte drink or mix, soda, pickle juice, pancakes, bacon, and other snacks.
Event items and policies: all runners receive a t shirt and a finisher medal though signups after June 15 are not guaranteed these items. There are no refunds, transfers, or deferments and organizers do not mail awards, shirts, or forgotten gear. Crews and drop bags are not permitted.
