Panguitch Valley Balloon Rally 5K
The Panguitch Valley Balloon Rally 5K takes place in Panguitch, Utah during the fourth weekend of June. The run is scheduled while hot air balloons rise into the Southern Utah sky, weather permitting. The course begins at the Panguitch High Track (390 East 100 West), follows a loop through the streets of Panguitch, and returns to finish at the track.
Medals are awarded to the top 10 finishers for both men and women. A free kids race on the track follows the 5K. The event includes a PHX Alumni / Panguitch Resident Team Race for PHX alumni or spouses and current Panguitch residents; teams must include at least two men and two women and may include up to seven runners. Team scoring is based on the top two male and top two female finishers from each team in relation to other teams.
An entry option for the 5K is listed at $30. Race day registrants are not guaranteed a t-shirt. The event is organized by Panguitch Cross Country. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
