Panda 5K & 1K Fun Run
Parkway Elementary School hosts the Panda 5K & 1K Fun Run in Frederick, Maryland. The course runs through Baker Park and nearby neighborhoods and benefits the Parkway Elementary School community. The event meeting point is near the Baker Park bandshell at 21 N Bentz St, Frederick, MD 21701.
Distances:
- 1K Panda 1K Fun Run or walk around Baker Park.
- 5K Panda 5K with separate age divisions.
Registration opens March 7, 2027 and closes May 31, 2027. Fees listed by the organizer include $15 for the 1K, $25 for the 5K entry for ages 12 and under, and $30 for the 5K entry for ages 13 and up. Race shirts will be provided to participants who register by May 1; registrations after that date may receive shirts on a first come first served basis, if available.
Packets can be picked up from the front steps of Parkway Elementary School on Friday, May 28 between 3:30 and 4:30 pm, or on race day starting at 7:30 am. In-person race day registration also opens at 7:30 am. Awards will be given to top finishers across specified age categories, including 7 and under, 8-9, 10-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and up.
