Palmetto Peach Running Event
The Palmetto Peach event offers multiple distances for runners, including a Half Marathon, a 10K, and a 5K. Located in North Augusta, South Carolina, the races utilize a course that begins on Railroad Avenue and concludes inside SRP Park. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual option is available for all distances, allowing participants to complete their run between November 24 and November 30.
The available race distances include:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K
- 5K
The Half Marathon and 10K routes cross through two states, beginning in South Carolina before moving over the Savannah River into Georgia. Participants run through downtown North Augusta and the city of Augusta, Georgia. These longer courses feature a mix of urban environments and the natural scenery of the North Augusta Greeneway.
In contrast, the 5K course remains entirely within South Carolina. This route follows the Greeneway, a trail characterized by local vegetation and a quiet atmosphere. Similar to the longer distances, the 5K starts on Railroad Avenue and features a finish line located at the baseball stadium, SRP Park. The return to the park includes sections of South Carolina scenery influenced by southern architecture. Post-race activities are held at the park following the conclusion of the events.
