Event Overview
The Palmer Lake July 4th Fun Run is a 4-mile event. It is described as the 43rd annual event and Palmer Lake Elementary's largest fundraiser. Registration fees support education in Palmer Lake. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options.
Course Details
The 4-mile route begins on the south side of Palmer Lake. Participants travel around the lake once before continuing along the Santa Fe Trail to Monument. The course follows this trail from the south end of Palmer Lake to Monument. The finish line is at 3rd Street in downtown Monument. The route is noted to be slightly downhill.
Event Options
Registration is divided into in-person and virtual categories. Each category offers the following participant types:
- July 4 Fun Run - Adult
- July 4 Fun Run - Middle School and High School Student
- July 4 Fun Run - Elementary Student and Younger
Practical Information
Parking is on the west side of Palmer Lake in designated lots north of the pickleball courts. A free shuttle bus runs from Adams and 2nd Street in Monument back to the parking lots after the race, with the last shuttle leaving at 9:00 AM. Pets are not permitted on the course. Strollers are not allowed on the shuttle buses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
