Paladin Pacer Trail Race : 8th Annual
The 8th Annual Paladin Pacer takes place at Pinecrest Academy's 68-acre campus in Cumming, Georgia (955 Peachtree Parkway, 30041). The event includes multiple running options and a donation-only participation choice for those who cannot attend in person.
- 5K Trail Run: approximately 3.1 miles on wooded trails, grass and pavement.
- 1 Mile Fun Run: three 1/3-mile laps around the school driveway; medals for all.
The 5K is a trail race that uses a mix of pavement, dirt trails, grass and hills; runners should expect uneven terrain and off-road sections that make the course less suitable for personal records. Pinecrest cheerleaders and volunteers are stationed along the course to provide encouragement.
The 1 Mile Fun Run keeps children in view of parents for nearly the entire course, and parents may run with their kids. All 1 Mile participants receive a finisher medal.
Additional event details include special awards for overall male and female finishers and top three male and female finishers in age groups 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 & over. Optional pre-race packet pickup is offered the Friday before the race at the Pinecrest Academy Upper School Gym Atrium; race day packet pickup is at the Lower School Gym. Parking details are distributed the week of September 14.
