Event Overview
The 51st Palace Saloon 5K takes place in Tallahassee, Florida. It is described as the oldest and fastest 5K race in the city.
Event Format and Location
The race is a point-to-point event. The start line and free public parking are located at the James Messer Sports Complex at 2800 Jackson Bluff Road. The finish line is at the Palace Saloon. There is no parking available at the finish line area.
Participants can register for two event types: a standard 5K and a Virtual 5K.
Registration and Logistics
Registration is online only and closes on the morning of the race. Packet pickup is available early at the Palace Saloon and on race morning at the start area. Registration fees increase after a certain date, and a t-shirt is available for an additional fee, with sizes guaranteed only for early registrants.
Post Race and Awards
The first 2,000 finishers receive a medal. Awards include custom beer mugs and monetary prizes for top overall, masters (40+), and grandmasters (50+) finishers, both male and female. Custom engraved pint glasses are awarded to the top three in each five-year age group. There are also team, fraternity, sorority, and club competitions.
