Course and Event Details
The PAL Challenge 10k takes place on paved trails within Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis. The course is described as having some rolling hills along a forest trail. There are three water stations along the 10k route, located approximately at mile markers 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65. Gatorade will be available at some stations. The event also offers a 5k distance. Walkers and participants with strollers are welcome.
Registration and Perks
Registration fees apply, with a price increase on race morning. A finisher's medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing are included for runners. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations before a specified date in June; later registrations receive shirts on a first-come, first-served basis. A virtual run option is available for those who cannot attend in person.
Series and Awards
The event is part of the organizer's series, with race points counting towards a Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series, as well as a Spring Series. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women. Age group awards are also presented for 1st and 2nd place in categories from 19 & Under to 70+.
Race Day Information
Packet pickup and race day registration are available on-site. Participants are advised to arrive approximately one hour before their event. Parking is available at Quiet Waters Park. Restrooms are located in the park. The event has a "Back of the Pack" time guideline for its series, but it is not a cutoff time. The event proceeds rain or shine, with cancellations being rare.
