P.A.I.L. Remembrance and Awareness Walk - Columbus, OH
The third annual P.A.I.L. Remembrance and Awareness Walk is a community event focused on remembrance and support for families affected by pregnancy and infant loss. It is hosted by a coalition of local organizations including Alive In My Heart, Miles' Mission, Columbus Public Health, and Nationwide Children's Hospital and takes place at Genoa Park in downtown Columbus on October 10, 2026.
The event features an untimed, one mile walk and a brief presentation beforehand. Onsite offerings include light snacks, water, resources for grieving parents, activities for children, and a coffee truck available for purchases. The course is stroller friendly. Pets other than service animals are not permitted.
Background and community role are part of the program emphasis. Miles' Mission grew from a family response to stillbirth and now supports others navigating pregnancy and infant loss. Alive In My Heart, founded in 2017 by parents who experienced infant loss, connects families to community resources in Central Ohio. Columbus Public Health facilitates the Franklin County Fetal-Infant Mortality Review to learn from fetal and infant deaths and identify community needs and system improvements.
Parking is not available inside Genoa Park; nearby downtown parking and garages are used by attendees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
