The Paddy Buckley Recce Fun Run - Glyderau is a organized mountain running event in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. This event focuses on the leg of the Paddy Buckley route that runs from Llanberis to Ogwen Valley, traversing the Glyders. The full Paddy Buckley Round is a recognized 61 mile circuit that crosses 47 peaks with more than 8,500m of total elevation gain.
Participants will run in small groups through the Welsh mountains. The course for this specific section covers a distance of 15 km and includes 1,830m of height gain. The event is designed for individuals preparing for a full Paddy Buckley attempt or those looking for experience running in technical mountain terrain.
The run is led by guides who hold a minimum of a Mountain Leader qualification. These guides have personal experience completing the full round and provide insight into mountain lines, technical ability, and route knowledge.
