Event overview
Black Diamond Yr Wyddfa | Snowdon24 is a 24-hour ultra trail event based at Y Ganolfan in Llanberis, Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Participants ascend and descend Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), which reaches 1,085 m (3,560 ft), as many times as they can within 24 hours. The event is scheduled for 11 July 2026 and is UTMB-indexed.
Format and categories
The event offers solo and team options. Teams may include up to five people and use a relay format so each member can complete one or more ascents. Solo categories include these UTMB-indexed distances:
- 50k
- 100k
- 100-mile
Entries were listed with ticket types for solo, pair, and teams of three to five. At the time of the listing, tickets were sold out.
Facilities and support
The event features an event village with toilets, food, shopping, music and commentary during daylight hours. Rest areas include tent pitches and a chill-out zone. On-course support includes marshals, route signage and Mountain Leader support. Timing and results use chip timing, tracking and online results. Event services and materials are provided in both English and Welsh. The official charity partner is Cancer Research Wales, and fundraising for other charities is also accepted.
