Yr Wyddfa - Snowdon24 (11 July 2026)
Snowdon24 is a 24-hour ultra trail event based at the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in Llanberis, Eryri (Snowdonia). Competitors aim to ascend and descend the mountain as many times as possible within a 24-hour period. The event accepts solo entrants and teams of up to five people competing in a relay format. The course and race format are UTMB-indexed and individual challenge options listed include:
- 50k UTMB-indexed
- 100k UTMB-indexed
- 100 mile UTMB-indexed
The organiser notes the current record is eight laps. Support during the event includes marshals, course signage, and Mountain Leader support. An event village provides toilets, food, shopping, music and daytime commentary. Rest areas include a silent respite area, tent pitches and a chill-out zone. Timing and results are managed professionally with chip timing, tracking and online results. Finishers receive event mementos designed to reflect the location and local history. The event is bilingual, with signs, registration and commentary offered in English and Welsh.
