Paddy Buckley Recce / Fun Run - Snowdon
This event is a guided recce of the Paddy Buckley route, covering the Beddgelert Forest (A4085) to Llanberis section across the Snowdon Range. The leg measures 20 km with approximately 1,900 m of height gain and takes place in the Snowdonia area near Llanberis, North Wales.
Participants run in small groups guided by experienced runners who hold Mountain Leader qualifications as a minimum. Guides on this event have completed the full Paddy Buckley Round and offer route knowledge, advice on line choice, and technical guidance relevant to this leg.
The event is scheduled for 14 June 2026. Entry is open to people aged 18 or older. Entries open on 17 September 2025 and close on 12 June 2026. The entry fee is £65.00. There is an option to purchase XCover which may provide a refund if a participant cannot attend due to unforeseen circumstances.
The recce focuses on familiarisation with this specific section of the Paddy Buckley Round and on building technical ability and confidence on mountain terrain.
