Paddy Buckley Recce / Fun Run - Snowdon
This is a guided recce or fun run across the Snowdon Range from Beddgelert Forest (A4085) to Llanberis in Snowdonia National Park on 14 June 2026. The route for this leg is 20km long with 1,900m of height gain and will be run in small groups.
Guides are experienced runners who hold Mountain Leader qualifications at a minimum and who have completed the full Paddy Buckley Round. They provide route knowledge, advice on line choice and guidance to help build technical ability and confidence on the terrain.
For context, the full Paddy Buckley Round covers 61 miles, crosses 47 peaks and includes over 8,500m of total height gain. This event focuses on the Beddgelert Forest to Llanberis section of that round.
Entry requirements include a minimum age of 18. The published entry fee for the event is £65. Entries open on 17 September 2025 and close on 12 June 2026. The event offers an optional XCover purchase that may allow a refund if a participant is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances.
