Pack Dash 5K
The Pack Dash 5K is part of Alvernia University's Homecoming and Family Weekend on October 11, 2026, held at Alvernia University, 400 Saint Bernardine St, Reading, PA 19607. The course runs through the university Hill Campus and begins and ends at the Student Center building.

- 1 Mile Youth Fun Run
Registration has early and late periods with listed fees: 5K early registration is $25 with a T-shirt size guarantee and late registration is $30; 1 Mile early registration is $15 with a swag bag guarantee and late registration is $20. Extra T-shirts and swag bags will be available the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis. Race benefits include a race T-shirt for 5K participants, a race swag bag, and raffle prizes; raffle tickets are sold the day of the event.
Proceeds benefit the Hope Fund and Clare's Cupboard, Alvernia’s campus pantry. Prizes include trophies for top male and top female overall, and medals for the top three finishers in each age category 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and above. Raffle ticket pricing is $2 for 1 ticket, $5 for 3 tickets, $10 for 10 tickets, and $15 for 20 tickets.
Event day will include check-in and opening remarks. Donations for Clare's Cupboard are accepted at the event; examples include protein bars, oatmeal packets, breakfast cereals, microwavable meals, shelf-stable fruit cups, peanut butter crackers, protein shakes, bottled water, snack items, tuna and chicken snack kits, feminine hygiene products, toiletries, and school supplies.
