The event participates in community programs and series. Terrain Trail Runners partnered with the Trail Mix Fund in December 2025 to pay registration fees for runners who cannot afford them. The event maintains a sustainability pledge: events are cup free and participants are asked to bring a personal mess kit with plate and spork as part of a zero waste effort.
