Oxford Half Marathon : event summary
The Oxford Half Marathon takes place on 11 October 2026. Entries for 2026 are sold out; the race also sold out in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Running for a charity is the only way to obtain a place for 2026.
The event is a fast and flat half marathon covering 13.1 miles through the historic streets and university area of Oxford. The course begins on Mansfield Road and passes Old Marston village, the River Cherwell and Lady Margaret Hall before finishing back near the start in the heart of Oxford University. Live music and spectator crowds are present along the route.
The organiser lists charity running options. One named charity is Helen & Douglas House, described as a children’s hospice that supports terminally ill children and their families in Oxfordshire and nearby counties.
