About the race
The Oxford Half is a half marathon held in the city of Oxford. The 2026 edition is scheduled for 11 October 2026 and is officially sold out.
The route covers 13.1 mile and runs through Oxford city centre on closed roads. The course is described as fast and flat and passes historic university architecture and city sights. Live music and cheering crowds are present along the route and there is an Event Village with a post-run celebration.
The 2026 event includes an exclusive medal and race tee. The Oxford Half debuted in 2011 and the 2026 edition marks 15 years since its first running.
Charity running is part of the event. Charities supporting runners provide training and fundraising help, and over £1.5 million was raised for more than 180 charities at the Oxford Half Marathon in 2025.
