Oxford Half Marathon
The Oxford Half Marathon is a fast, flat half-marathon covering 13.1 miles through the university city of Oxford. The 2026 edition is scheduled for 11 October 2026 and entries for that year are sold out.
Running for a charity is the only remaining way to obtain a place for 2026. The event features live music and crowd support along the route.
The course begins on Mansfield Road and passes through Old Marston village, alongside the River Cherwell, and by Lady Margaret Hall before finishing back near the start in the heart of Oxford University.
Helen & Douglas House is associated with the event as a charity option. It is described as the world’s first children’s hospice and supports terminally ill children and their families in Oxfordshire and nearby counties. Services include care at the Oxford hospice, at home, and in hospital, with an emphasis on helping families create lasting memories.
The event description emphasizes the route’s architectural and city-centre setting and the combination of on-course support and a predominantly flat profile. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
