Own the Trail Relay
Own the Trail Relay takes place on Sunday, August 9 along the Chicago lakefront. The event is a team relay in which teams of four runners complete the course to determine overall standings.
Teams consist of four members. When a team is created a special link is generated in the participant account so teammates can register. Entries are limited to the first 40 teams. Categories are assigned on race day based on gender composition: Men's category for teams with three or more men, Women's category for four women, and Mixed category for teams with two men and two women.
Entry fees differ by membership status: free for CARA Supporter Level Members and $15 for non-members. Top teams in the men's, women's, and mixed categories receive the "Deed to the Lakefront" awards. Results for 2025 are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
