38th Over the River Run 2026
The event takes place on October 10, 2026 at the Old Mississippi River Bridge in Vicksburg. The 5 mile course crosses the Old Mississippi River Bridge and finishes back in Vicksburg. Packet pick up is scheduled the day before at the SCHF Auditorium at the corner of Crawford and Cherry Street and also will be available prior to the race at the race site.
Distances offered include:
- 5 mile run
- 5 mile walk
- 1 mile fun run for kids
All participants must physically sign both waivers at packet pick up; waivers signed online or by others will not be accepted. No packets or awards will be mailed and there are no refunds. The course does not permit headphones, rollerblades, strollers, bicycles, or animals.
Parking is available at Ameristar Hotel or Casino. The event is directed by MS Race Timing and The Mississippi Track Club and is listed as a Grand Prix event. Proceeds benefit the Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation. Registration fees and early bird pricing are listed on the event registration page.
