Over the Bridge 5K and 10K Run/Walk
The event is the 15th annual Over the Bridge 5K and 10K held on September 19, 2026, in Hampton Bays, New York, and is presented in honor of J. Ronald Scott. The listed venue for registration and bib pickup is Hampton Bays Middle School, with participants transported to the starting area at Warner's Park on the south side of the Ponquogue Bridge. The Hampton Bays Lions Club is a sponsoring community organization and proceeds support guide dog and assistance dog programs for returning veterans.

Base registration for each distance is listed at $35.00, with published totals including processing fees and early bird and race day pricing tiers; a discounted rate applies for children 14 and under. The first 200 registrants are guaranteed a T shirt; sizes are not guaranteed. Personalized bibs are available for those who register at least three weeks before race day.
The course runs across the Ponquogue Bridge and along the Atlantic Ocean, Shinnecock Inlet, and Shinnecock Bay, and passes through residential neighborhoods of Hampton Bays. The route is generally flat with the bridge crossing as a notable change in elevation; the course may be altered for safety if weather or road conditions require it.
