Over the Bridge 5K & 10K Run/Walk
The Over the Bridge 5K & 10K is an annual community run and walk held in Hampton Bays, New York, organized in support of Guide Dogs for the Blind and assistance dog programs for returning veterans. The event is presented in honor of J. Ronald Scott.
The race uses a coastal course that passes along the Atlantic Ocean, Shinnecock Inlet, and Shinnecock Bay, and includes a crossing of the Ponquogue Bridge. The route is described as generally flat and fast while also featuring the bridge crossing. The course may be altered for safety if weather or road conditions require it.
Registration details show examples of entry fees and options: a 5K or 10K entry listed at $35, an early bird total of $38.98 including processing fee, a race day total of $44.15, and a reduced fee of $15 for kids 14 and under. Personalized bibs are available when registering in advance; last minute registrants may receive a bib number by text.

Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers for each distance and to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age divisions.
