Over the Bridge 5K & 10K Run/Walk 2026
The Over the Bridge event on September 19, 2026 is a community run and walk held in Hampton Bays, NY, with activities centered at Hampton Bays Middle School and a starting area at Warner’s Park on the south side of the Ponquogue Bridge. The event benefits Guide Dogs For The Blind and Assistance Dogs for Returning Veterans and is organized in association with local community service efforts by the Hampton Bays Lions Club.

Registration includes processing fees. Typical totals listed are $38.98 for early registration and $44.15 for race day; base race entry prices are shown as $35. Kids 14 and under have a reduced fee of $15. First 200 participants are guaranteed a T-shirt; registering three weeks in advance allows a personalized bib. Bib pickup occurs at Hampton Bays Middle School so participants can be bused to the starting area; a bib number is required for pickup. Last-minute registrants may receive bib numbers by text.
The course runs across the Ponquogue Bridge and along coastal areas with views of the Atlantic Ocean, Shinnecock Inlet, and Shinnecock Bay. The route is generally flat and may be adjusted for safety due to weather or road conditions. Amenities include refreshments and awards. All fees are nonrefundable.
