OUTLAST Portland
OUTLAST Portland is a six hour trail endurance challenge held in Portland, OR on 07/25/2026 at 4198-4100 NW Leif Erikson Dr. The event requires competitors to complete a 5K loop every hour; each lap must be finished within that hour to continue. Runners who finish early may rest until the next round, and runners who miss a lap are removed from the event.
The course is trail-based and includes natural terrain, elevation, and variable conditions. There may be sections of pavement or gravel. Timing is recorded for each individual 5K; if a runner completes all six laps, the combined time determines local division results and ranking on the national leaderboard.
Aid is available at the basecamp or loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event, so participants should bring a personal bottle or hydration system. Participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. Rewards include patches for completing four or five laps and a premium OUTLAST medal for all six laps.
Top male and female finishers by combined 5K time at the event receive the 1st Place OUTLAST award. Finishers are ranked nationally; the fastest athlete across all OUTLAST six hour events earns a $1,000 national prize. City champions earn spots in the Outlast Championship where additional prizes are awarded. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
