OUTLAST Corpus Christi
OUTLAST is a six-hour trail endurance challenge held in Corpus Christi on 02/27/2027. Runners complete a 5K every hour, on the hour; each 5K must be finished within the hour to continue, and missing a lap removes a runner from the event. If a runner finishes early, they may rest until the next round.
The course is trail based with natural terrain including dirt, sand, rocks, roots, and elevation changes; some sections can include pavement and gravel. Each 5K is timed individually. A runner who completes all six 5K laps has a combined time that counts toward local division results and the national leaderboard.
Awards and recognition are tiered by laps completed: four laps earn a Bronze “Grit Earned” leather patch, five laps earn a Silver “Survivor” leather patch, and six laps earn a Premium “OUTLAST” wooden medal. All participants receive an OUTLAST T‑shirt and sticker. The fastest male and female at each event by combined 5K time win the 1st Place OUTLAST award.
Finishers are ranked on a national leaderboard. The fastest runner across all OUTLAST 6-hour events earns the National Champion title and a $1,000 prize. The top five male and female 6-hour champions from each city earn a spot at the Outlast Championship in DFW on 12/04/2027 where separate prize money is awarded to the top three finishers.
Aid is available at basecamp with water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event so runners should bring their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up their own tent or aid station. Registration opens 04/22/2026 and closes 11/29/2026; the listed registration fee is $90.00.
