OUTLAST Corpus Christi
OUTLAST is a six hour trail endurance challenge held in Corpus Christi, Texas at 20420 Park Rd 22. The event format requires participants to run a 5K loop once each hour for six consecutive hours; each lap must be completed within the hour to continue. The event distance is listed as 18 Miles.
Courses are trail based and may include dirt, rocks, roots, elevation changes, and occasional pavement or gravel. Aid is available at the basecamp or loop start in the form of water, basic hydration, and snacks; this is a cupless event so participants are expected to bring their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may rest between laps and may walk as long as each 5K is finished within the hour.
Awards and recognition include patches for completing four laps and five laps, a premium six inch OUTLAST medal for completing all six laps, and a premium OUTLAST tee for all participants. Local winners are determined by the fastest combined time across all six 5K laps by division for male and female runners and are added to a world leaderboard. The fastest runner across all OUTLAST six hour events wins a $1,000 prize. Top finishers from each city earn spots in the Outlast World Championship on December 4, 2027, where prize money is awarded to the top three.
