OUTLAST CHARLOTTE

OUTLAST CHARLOTTE is a six hour trail endurance challenge held on 06/12/2027 in Concord, North Carolina (7600 Miami Church Rd, 28025). The format requires runners to complete a 5K loop every hour, on the hour; each lap must be finished within the hour to remain in the event. If a participant finishes early, they rest until the next round. Missing a lap results in elimination.

Courses are trail based with natural terrain, elevation, and variable conditions, and may include some pavement and gravel. Each 5K is timed individually; runners who complete all six laps have their combined time recorded for local awards and the world leaderboard. Walking is allowed provided each lap is completed within the hour.

Facilities and race logistics include water, basic hydration, and snacks at the basecamp or loop start. This is a cupless event; participants should bring their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up a personal tent or aid station on site, but stakes are not allowed.

Recognition and prizes are awarded by laps completed and by fastest combined time. Four laps earn a “Grit Earned” patch, five laps earn a “Survivor” patch, and six laps earn the OUTLAST medal plus ranking on the world leaderboard. All participants receive an OUTLAST tee. The fastest combined male and female at each event receive the 1st Place OUTLAST award. The fastest runner across all OUTLAST 6 hour events, including the Championship, is crowned World Champion and receives $1,000. Top city finishers can qualify for the Outlast World Championship in DFW on December 4, 2027, where additional prize money is awarded for top finishers.
