OUTLAST ALBUQUERQUE
OUTLAST is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge in which runners complete a 5K every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to continue in the event; if a runner misses a lap they are removed. Completing all six rounds results in an OUTLAST finish.
The course is trail based and includes natural terrain, elevation, and variable conditions such as dirt, rocks, roots, and occasional pavement or gravel. Participants have short recovery periods between laps to refuel and prepare for the next lap. Aid is available at the basecamp or loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event, so participants should bring their own bottle or hydration system. Tent or personal aid station setups are allowed.
Awards and recognition are given for partial and full completion: a patch for four laps, a patch for five laps, and a premium OUTLAST medal for six laps. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. Each 5K is timed individually; combined times for all six laps count toward local wins and the national leaderboard. Event winners and top national performers are eligible for prize money and spots in the Outlast Championship.
