About the race
The Ouachita Trail 50 is a trail endurance event held at Maumelle Park, Little Rock, Arkansas, with proceeds benefiting Pinnacle Mountain State Park. The event includes two race options and is the 36th running of the outing organized as a nonprofit fundraiser.

The course starts and ends with roughly two miles of pavement between Maumelle Park and the eastern Ouachita Trail terminus at Pinnacle Mountain State Park. Runners climb over and around Pinnacle Mountain, then follow an out and back route along the north shore of Lake Maumelle on the Ouachita National Recreation Trail. Most of the trail is rocky single track marked with blue blazes; turns are shown with two blazes and additional blue and white striped ribbon markers. If conditions are wet, the course may be rerouted to avoid the top of Pinnacle Mountain as required by the state park.
Support includes eleven staffed aid stations for the 50 mile and seven for the 50 km; aid provides water, sports drink, snacks, fruit, sandwiches and other items supplied by aid captains. Carrying at least one fluid bottle is highly advised. Crews may access specific points including East Pinnacle Parking Lot, West Summit Trailhead, Northshore, and the Hwy 10 turnaround. Drop bags are accepted for Northshore and Hwy 10 (50 mile only) and should be labeled. There is a 13 hour limit for the 50 mile and other cut off times that will be strictly enforced.
Race packets may be picked up Friday before the race at Fleet Feet Little Rock or at Pavilion #8 on race morning; bibs and timing chips are issued on race morning. Registration fees and shirt guarantee deadlines apply; registration after specified dates will incur higher fees and may not guarantee shirt size.
