The RCR Gobbler Turkey Trot

The RCR Gobbler Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning community fun run held at the Market Place Shopping Center, 11121 N. Rodney Parham Rd., Suite 37B, Little Rock, AR. Entry is free; participants are asked to donate canned goods, non-perishable food, or cash to benefit the Arkansas Foodbank. More than 1,700 people registered and donated food in the previous year.

Three stroller-friendly road routes start and finish at Rock City Running. Distances include:

  • 3 miles
  • 4 miles
  • 6.5 miles

Tom’s Tiny Trot is a short sprint loop for children ages 0 to 8 on a closed parking lot. Volunteers assist along the course. Children must be accompanied to the start and away from the finish by a parent or guardian, and adults may choose to run with their child. Each Tiny Trot participant receives a finisher medal.

Event shirts are available for purchase for $25 for adults and $25 for youth. Pre-registration provides entry into exclusive drawings. Water is available after the run. Santa will be on site to collect donations and for photos. Pets are welcome on a short leash. Courses are on roads with limited traffic control; participants are responsible for their own safety when crossing roads. The event is presented as a community fun run rather than a competitive race.
