The RCR Gobbler Turkey Trot : Little Rock, AR
The RCR Gobbler Turkey Trot takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the Market Place Shopping Center, 11121 N. Rodney Parham Rd., Suite 37B, Little Rock, AR 72212. The event is hosted by Rock City Running and is presented as a free, community-focused Thanksgiving morning gathering. It includes a main fun run with multiple route options and a children’s event called Tom’s Tiny Trot for ages 0-8; each child in Tom’s Tiny Trot receives a finishers medal.
Format, donations and logistics
The main event offers three road routes, starting and finishing at Rock City Running. Distances include:
- 3 miles
- 4 miles
- 6 miles
Participation is free; the suggested entry is a donation of canned goods, non-perishable food, or cash to benefit the Arkansas Foodbank. Event shirts will be available for purchase for $25 (adult and youth). Water stations will be available after the run. Pets are allowed on short leashes and strollers are allowed on all courses. The event notes limited traffic control, so participants are responsible for their own safety when crossing roads. The Foodbank requests Thanksgiving items such as cornbread/stuffing mix, canned meat, cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, mashed potato mix, canned/instant gravy, canned sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, canned fruit, and canned pumpkin; no homemade or glass items.
